1981 : OCC begins its venture into the corrugated world on Friday, February 13th 1981 with four employees, one rental truck, and a few pieces of miscellaneous equipment. 1986 : OCC establishes Corrugados de Baja California (CBC) the first U.S Maquiladora/Pitek sheet plant in the state of Baja California, Mexico. 1990 : OCC relocates into a 279,000 square feet building in City of Industry. 1993 : OCC acquires Imperial Container. 1998 : OCC acquires San Diego Packaging in El Cajon, California on October 2 nd, 1998. 2000 : CBC expands operations to Mexicali-Baja California, with a 105,000 SF sheet plant. 2002: CBC’s continued success leads to the establishment of a new sheet plant in the Mexican city of Nogales, Sonora. 2002: OCC acquires ZAPP Packaging, a label and folding carton company and invests in new equipment. 2004: OCC, San Diego Container, Zapp Packaging, and 3 CBC-Mexico companies begin the process of fusing into one entity, The OCC group, with the intention of taking the next big step into the future. 2005: OCC establishes design center in Shanghai China. 2005: OCC establishes Packaging Solutions. 2005: OCC establishes fulfillment center in Burbank, California and Tijuana. 2005: Zapp Packaging moved from a 15,000 square feet building in City of Industry into a 100,000 square feet building in Brea, California. 2006: OCC completed the purchase "Performance Sheets" from Temple Inland located City of Industry, California. 2006: Marcom Solutions joins the OCC Group. 2007: In January 2nd OCC completed the purchase of Georgia-Pacific’s sheet plant "Servicios Generales de Empaque" located in Chihuahua, Mexico, now called "Corrugados de Chihuahua" 2007: January 15th, Corrugados de Baja California, SA de CV in Nogales , has just completed the installation of all their equipment into their new 105,000SF facility and currently underway is the construction of an additional 75,000SF. 2008: OCC establishes Corrugados de Cd. Juarez in January 2008. The building size is approximately 125,000 sq ft and 80 employees. Variety of equipment from Flexo Folder Gluers to Rotary die cutters and Foam die cutters and laminators. 2008: OCC Group currently employed over 2,400 dedicated people, over 2,200,000SF of building space and approximately $350,000,000 annual sales.
